What does this tool do?
Convert Image changes a supported picture into PNG, JPG, or WebP locally in your browser, with no upload or signup. The output retains the pixel dimensions unless you choose to resize separately.
Useful for
WebP to PNG, PNG to JPG, JPG to PNG, and preparing images for websites or upload forms.
What to know before using it
- JPG has no transparency: transparent pixels are placed on a white background.
- Converting JPG to PNG does not recover detail already lost through JPEG compression.
- Animated GIF inputs are converted as a still first frame. BMP, GIF, and AVIF input decoding depends on browser support.
How to convert an image format online
- 1Add your source pictures. You can select PNG, JPG, WebP, BMP, GIF, or AVIF files supported by your browser.
- 2Choose the output format. JPG is selected initially; you can change to PNG or WebP before processing.
- 3Process and download the converted pictures. When converting transparent images to JPG, transparent areas become white.
Frequently asked questions
Can I convert WebP to PNG?
Yes. Select a WebP source, choose PNG as output, and process it locally. The result downloads with a .png extension.
Can I convert PNG to JPG?
Yes. JPG does not support transparency, so transparent areas are flattened onto white.
Can I convert animated GIF images?
A GIF can be opened when the browser supports it, but conversion uses only its first frame. Animation is not preserved.
Does converting a JPEG to PNG restore lost quality?
No. The pixels remain based on the original JPEG. PNG avoids additional JPEG encoding, but it cannot recover detail already lost.
